Fundraising Banquet and Auction

Nevada Department of Wildlife’s Heritage for Wildlife Trust Fund

Heritage Auction Tags

The 2023 banquet will feature an auction for a Nevada Heritage Tag (similar to other states’ “Governor’s Tags”). A Desert Bighorn Sheep tag and a California Bighorn Sheep tag will be available for purchase with the successful bidder having the opportunity to hunt statewide, with any legal weapon, during liberal season calendars. Nevada Department of Wildlife’s Heritage for Wildlife Trust Fund

The auction price of the Heritage tags have increased dramatically with the proceeds from these tags going directly to Nevada Department of Wildlife’s heritage for Wildlife Trust Fund. By statute, only the interest from this trust fund can be expended, and the monies can only be utilized in Fish and Wildlife programs.
